Old city with the traditional buildingsof old China.
The narrow roads were packed with tourists- more locals than foreigners
Red is obviously the prominent color in China - buildings, clothes, decorations and almost everything.
Cyclists are everywhere - male, female, young and old.
Looks like a policeman - almost everyone is hung up on their cellphones
Ladies are dressed mostly in western style with chinese variations - very colourful clothing, shiny shoes and jewellery with a lot of make-up.
Two, three children with bag and baggage on scooters and cycles = a common sight on the streets
Lot of things are carried on their scooters and cycles
Roadside boutique selling colourful bags - bargaining is a must - which is possible without speaking chinese - starting at 1000 yuan and lowered to even 20 yuan is possible if you are good at it - most sri lankan ladies are well equipped for this - when you refuse and leave the shop very firmly in most cases the merchant runs behind and drags you back to the store and agrees for the lower price which still gives them a good profit.
